Crowned K9s Foundations Rescue

A rescue-first, training-first placement program. Every Foundations pup enters structure before placement, and every pup receives health screening before go-home. We focus on stability, communication, and day-to-day manners so each dog can transition into family life with a stronger start. Latest update: Stella has officially been placed and is now thriving in her forever home as Skye.

  • Rescue and transitional pups are developed before placement
  • Health screening is completed on every Foundations pup
  • Crate routine, potty rhythm, leash handling, and household structure are built in
  • Go-home transfer session with written documentation; standard placement fees typically include one follow-up training session based on each placement package

Placement Update: Stella is Home

Pit Mix · Female · Born December 22, 2025 · now in her forever home as Skye

Officially Placed
Skye (formerly Stella) with her forever family

Stella came to us from an accidental breeding situation that needed a safe, immediate path before surrender became the next step.

She moved through our Foundations process with structure, communication, and day-to-day routines—and is now officially placed with her new family, who renamed her Skye.

Placement complete. We are grateful for everyone who shared, referred, and supported her journey to the right home.

Her handoff guide remains available here for reference: Stella’s Go-Home Playbook.

Foundations work she completed before placement:

  • Confidence building and positive exposure
  • Crate comfort and household routines
  • Potty schedule and daily consistency
  • Leash comfort and gentle handling
  • Basic obedience foundations
  • Calmer recovery after new experiences

Rescue + Development, Not Just Rehoming

We bring dogs into our program from rescue and transitional situations, then put them on a structured development plan before placement. The goal is to turn potential into stability.

Crate training and calm indoor behavior

What this means for you: a dog who can settle at home without constant chaos.

Potty structure and consistent routines

What this means for you: clearer daily rhythm and fewer avoidable accidents.

Basic obedience and leash manners

What this means for you: smoother walks and easier day-to-day handling.

Confidence building and real-life exposure

What this means for you: a dog better prepared for normal family environments.

Clear communication markers

What this means for you: faster learning and less confusion for both of you.

Doorway manners and people respect

What this means for you: safer greetings and better household boundaries.

Early focus and impulse control

What this means for you: better decisions under distraction and calmer behavior.

Clarity Through Vet Care

Every Foundations Rescue dog receives health screening before placement. We review vet status, vaccinations, and deworming so families get clear, documented information on health context before go-home. Our focus is transparency, not guarantees.

We do not promise perfect outcomes. We provide honest information, structured development, and practical support so each placement starts on solid ground, with health information shared up front.

Who Foundations Rescue Is Built For

Great fit for families who want a rescue dog with a stronger start:

  • Families who believe in second-chance placements with structure
  • Homes that want calm daily routines, crate rhythm, and household boundaries already started
  • People who value training and want clear transfer guidance at go-home
  • Adopters who want written go-home materials and—at standard placement fees—a scheduled follow-up training session

What to expect from Foundations pups:

  • Rescue or transitional background, developed before placement
  • Visible progress in confidence, handling, and real-life manners
  • Transparent updates on health, temperament, and development
  • Intentional matching based on home fit and lifestyle

How Crowned K9s Foundations Rescue Works

1

Inquiry

You reach out and share your home, goals, and what you're looking for.

2

Match & Fit Call

We review available Foundations dog(s), temperament, and lifestyle fit.

3

Development Phase

The dog continues in structured training (typically 3-4 weeks) while we prepare both dog and family.

4

Placement & Go-Home Session

We transfer commands, structure, and routines—with written go-home documentation—so you can continue what we've built.

5

Follow-Up & Support

Every Foundations placement includes go-home transfer support and written documentation. At standard placement fees, we also schedule one follow-up training session after go-home to reinforce transfer at home. Stella’s completed $500 placement included the transfer session and written go-home document without a scheduled follow-up session.

Foundations Investment & Included Value

These puppies may come from rescue backgrounds, but what families receive is far more than a simple adoption. Each Foundations pup includes structured training, health screening, socialization, and transition support so you bring home a healthier, better-adjusted companion.

That is why the Foundations fee reflects the full transformation and peace of mind, not just the puppy’s origin story.
